Texas Discovery Gardens
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”932″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]Texas Discovery Gardens is a 7.5 acre organic garden featuring native and adapted plants. Inside, our two-story Rosine Smith Sammons Butterfly House and Insectarium transports you to a tropical rainforest, complete with hundreds of free-flying butterflies.
Located in Dallas’ historic Fair Park, Texas Discovery Gardens is a year-round organically maintained urban oasis filled with natural wonders. Family festivals, free admission days, and our extensive (and growing) EarthKeepers® student education program introduce children and adults to natural outdoor learning experiences.
We are the first public garden in the state of Texas to be certified 100% organic by the Texas Organic Research Center. The gardens are maintained using sustainable methods that conserve water and help to protect the environment.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

This picture took lots of patience! Blue Morphos are notorious for landing with their wings closed.

Check what this reviewer is saying:
This place was really neat. They’re open year round. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Ask about their year pass pack. The gift shop is cool. I came for a friend’s party and the kids loved it. The butterfly garden is incredible! They had a lot of interesting critters too. They have many special events throughout the year.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”928″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Make sure you follow @texasdiscoverygardens/ on instagram to keep up with the latest changes to their Eats & Drinks! menu and follow us at @newtodallasguide for even more adventures around your favorite city[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
