Take a Ride with Local Hub Bicycle Company

In December of 2015, Local Hub Bicycle Company opened in Deep Ellum after the owner,
Kristie Holt saw a need that would take urban Dallas up a gear. Although she knew that there
were other bike shops focusing on fitness and mountain biking, no one had yet captured the
market that focused on the needs and wants of the everyday person. People of Dallas wanted
an affordable bicycle that allowed them to enjoy every beautiful scene that the city had to
offer along as a means for transportation. This is where the Local Hub idea was born.

With brands from Brooklyn, Tri, Kona and Felt, Local Hub is more than just your run of the
mill bike shop. They offer a full-service shop that provides not only plenty of buying options,
but also a personal mechanic that can tend to any of your bike repair needs. Furthermore,
Local Hub allows you the option to rent bikes for any occasion. This is as easy as booking
online or making a reservation in store. When you think of bike rentals, you probably think
of the $1 bikes all throughout the city. These bikes are great for a mile or so but typically
leave you in worse shape than if you had walked. In renting Local Hub bikes, you can be
assured to have a wide selection of bikes to choose from that are rideable on all surfaces. In
knowing that you are taken care of, the experience can persuade you to explore far more of
the city than you had intended.

Local Hub also has all the gear you could desire. From helmets, racks, jerseys, shorts and t-
shirts, Local Hub has options for everyone. The staff is welcoming and attentive to your
every need. On top of that, they have an amazing promotional deal. With every dollar spent,
you earn a point. After reaching a certain point level, you can earn rebates to buy accessories
that compliment your bike.

Last but certainly not least, Local Hub is very active in the Dallas community. They are
partnered with bike brewery tour, 6-Pack Trail, which shows people how to get around the
city on bikes while stopping for several brews along the way. They host events, conduct free
bike mechanic classes, go on two group rides a month, and show people how to get places
using Dallas infrastructure.

As you can see, Local Hub isn’t just your typical bike shop. Through their business, they are
allowing people to see the beauty of Dallas, make memories with friends and family, and
promoting health in the process. Dallas hasn’t always been known as a bike friendly city, but
with Local Hub at the helm, look for the culture to be changed.
